Namon Gaston designs and makes furniture from his workshop in the Scottish Borders. His practice encompasses both bespoke commissions and a small collection of established designs, produced in limited numbers, for private clients and selected stockists.
Across both, the focus remains the same: considered design, disciplined making, and furniture developed to sit comfortably in space and endure over time.
Namon trained in furniture design at Edinburgh College of Art, before spending time working closely with traditional makers in Scotland. During this period, he developed a strong grounding in his talent for craft, alongside a contemporary design education.
Early experience working with established manufacturers further shaped his understanding of brief development and production — knowledge that continues to inform his professional practice today.
